Matt, I'm a dumbass!!
Got a new v3.57 board and was going through some changes to Aaron Cake's basic msq and my Jimstim's power transistor fried(bought new Jimstim), after that i couldn't get any signal except a map trace on the composite log. At that point I decided to check all my board jumpers and vr pots as well as check the voltages on the 40 pin connector. Everything checked fine for jumpers, vr's, and the 40 pin voltages. As I was putting the ms3 daughter board back on the 40 pin socket i got it one pin off, TWICE, then I noticed that I have forgotten to turn the power off. long story short I can no longer connect to my computer with ether my Bluetooth or USB. I rechecked the 40 pin socket voltages and they are all ok. To make a long sorry a little shorter are both boards fried?

Check to see if the board still has 5 volts on VREF if you power it up with the MS3 daughterboard unplugged. If so, there's a good change the damage is confined to the MS3 daughter board.

Re: Matt, I'm a dumbass!!
Here are the voltages on U1 40 pin socket
pin 1 5.06
pin 2 .0
pin 16 12.03
pin 19 .0
pin 20 5.06
pin 31 5.06
pin 32 .0
JS2 34 Pin on the Daughter board MS3X unplugged
pin 31 .205 should be 5V
pin 33 11.68
pin 34 11.68
Looks like the daughter board is toast.

You might want to contact Peter Florance; he can often repair these for less than the cost of a new one.

Hi Matt
Got the ms3/ms3x v3.57 back from Peter, the daughter board was bad and he replaced the chip.
Here is where I left off before I screwed up my squirt.
I'm for the most part getting nothing on my csv or my msl logs, but I can make everything work in TS testmodes. Here is my msq, msl, and csv.

Sorry forgot to mention my set up.
1974 REPU 13B with GM throttle body conversion stock CAS and in RX8 coil on plug mode also GM IAT & CLT and a MTX-L wideband AFR.
I'm also going to post this on Rx7club to keep them in the loop.

You're getting a crank signal but no cam signal. Make sure you don't have the MS3X cam pull up jumper in place, and try adjusting the MS3X trim pots.

Ok I set things up like Aaron Cakes write up.Matt Cramer wrote:You're getting a crank signal but no cam signal. Make sure you don't have the MS3X cam pull up jumper in place, and try adjusting the MS3X trim pots.
JP7 off
JP8 On I had this one off
JP1 1&2
J1 3&4
XG1/XG2 Off I had this one on
Think I remember doing the pots back wards (clockwise) so I turned them all 12 turns counter clockwise.
Just put it back in and noticed with all the frustration from yesterday I forgot to turn off the key, so sense it's 9 in the evening here I put the charger on it and I'll check it in the morning and post how thing come out.
