Why an aftermarket one? All those features are in ms3

Here is a thread with a wiring pdf. I can say the feature works great

this delay box is different. you put your ET and versus ET . so ms3 hasnt this capability.

Hmmmmm. Sounds like you need a solid stat 5 pin relay that you can use separately for megasquirt to interrupt the trans brake signal from the delay bo

You would still setup the trans brake function for the bump to work, but leave megasquirt delay at zero, which would give control to the stand alone box which will have its own relay setup

Isn't that just a bit of maths? Or am I missing something?

Maybe that won't work because the bump uses the brake output and the relay system won't work

I agree with James, a little testing and math and you'll have it dialed in

I don't see how anyone could stage consistently bumping in.

There are plenty of videos showing this being done! But, if you don't want to do it, no worries.

Heads up staging consistently is not so critical. This sounds like a bracket racer. Consistency is crucial as it affects both r/t and et.

I'm more of a heads up racer, but use this feature when racing my buddies. I can foot brake into the prestage beams till they flicker and just come on, and do a single bump with two moves and so far four times that I've done this, the stage light is flickering Next outing I'll lengthen the off time, so it seams pretty consistent

Hello group,
I'm new here and need some help. I read through the thread but I still need to know how to wire up a delay box in this. I have a trans brake, Biondo delay box, Mega 200 and a bump switch. I had all this in stand alone systems but now I am putting it all on the MS3.
Thanks in advance!

Popeto, I'm in the same boat. I've got a mega 200 as well. The ability to easily set the delay, especially when the track uses cross talk is critical and not available with the megasquirt. It looks like PB1 on the delay box goes to ground, if that is the case I'm wondering if the following will work
    • Hook up one of the digital switched in ports (I've got a MS3Pro) up to to your trans brake button "
    • Have the trans brake button (PB1) on the Delay box wired to whatever the specified output is for the trans brake in Tuner Studio
    • Set the delay to "0" in Tuner Studio
This way when you push the trans brake button it will trip the MS3Pro and the output from the megasquirt will trip PB1 on the delay box (just as if it was directly wired using a button). The only challenge I see with this is that you can't use the bump box feature with this setup.

For those that are curious here is a link to the Biondo manual http://www.racedigitaldelay.com/pdfs/in ... 100200.pdf
