40 degree in egt

Post by racerron »

8bit.msq
i have the ms3x with a diyautotune 8 channel can-egt. when the engine is off and key on my egts are at around 46 degrees f. in tuner studio. which is low. air temp today 85 f. now when i open the can-egt temps are also is 46 degrees f. which is to low. the only to make the egt temps right is to change the ADC resolution to 8 bits then the temps are real (87-90). is there a ADC resolution setting (8,10,or 12 bits) in the regular tuner studio to make the egts right?

10bit.msq
on the bottom of page 8 it says Current MS3 firmware
requires setting this to 10 bits. this makes the TS to show low temps.

Please post the entire project, not just the msq. Use the 'Create Project Backup' option in the vehicle projects menu.

Using 8 bits is definitely not the way to go so the issue is something else.

It's not the tsproj file but only an msq. What is needed is the tsproj file.

Have you discussed this with DIYAutoTune.com support? I saw you asking about this on Facebook also. Cross-posting blurs the issue.

The default settings on the CANEGT work with MS3 without change if you follow the manual and/or load in the canegt MSQ that is provided with the MS3 firmware zip.

Yes I did discuss it with DIY I talked to a a guy named Ben any said my settings look good and sorry about it posting this twice but I'm I guess I'm just trying to figure out why my egt's are lower than they should be. I'm thinking maybe I need to reinstall the firmware.
