sync loss again

Post by Yves »

I was free of sync losses since I last time followed Kaeman's advice to add some noise filtering.

Today I was out and drove a pretty long end. On the return home I felt the engine cut out suddenly then reengage followed by TS going offline several times. While driving I checked the usb connector of the ecu to the laptop and the cutting out of TS stopped after that.

Attached is a log. You can see the rpm spike down followed by several red bars.

Could a sync loss be caused by an usb connection to the laptop failing. I would think no, but just asking.

What sort of sensor and trigger wheel are you using?

Can you catch the sync loss in a tooth log?

Virtually impossible to do. They don't follow a pattern as far as I can see and come at random
