Fuelling Question

Post by NigeT »

I've spent quite some time going through the fix and can't really see anything that tells me how the cranking pulse % relates to the VE table values. I wanted to see if my cranking pulse widths are anywhere near the idling pulse widths at the same temperature - just as a check and balance. First start (cold start) still seems a bit hit and miss.

Thanks,
Nigel.

It doesn't directly relate to the VE table values because of the other factors that are then multiplied in.
During cranking, the fuel PW is deadtime + (ReqFuel * crank% * factor)
The "factor" depends on the number of squirts you have set and whether alternating.

To compare your actual pulsewidths, take and review a datalog. But remember that the number of pulses per engine cycle may be different.

My understanding is that the cranking PW also includes a correction for MAT. Am I simply wrong, or has that been changed?
