Turbo rpm, wich input port?

Post by ChristianK »

Hello,

I won't to build a high-speed input for turbo revs.

Which port could I use? Does the flexfuel port work? Or work any any at ports, that I could use at the "shaft speed sensor" ?

How many KHz work? 165.000rpm with 14 wings are around 38.5khz. Does this work?

Thanks for your input!

Use PT4.

Most aftermarket turbo speed sensors use some kind of pulse divider to reduce their output frequency. Try it as-is though, use the "high speed" option.

Its a borg warner sensor. I don't know about any divider.

At this time, I use Pt4 for speedo out. Wich port works for this also?

For that high speed you want a direct digital input with no capacitor smoothing. PT4 is the only available one unless you want to customise the mainboard to access JS10.

I've understood. But wich one works alternatively for my speedo out?
Pt4 works well for the speedo.
I've these not used Pins:

-nitrous 2
-vvt
-flexfuel
And there are three unused spark outputs.

The speedo came from a Passat/Dasher 35i with 2.0 16V ABF.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

One of the spark pins should work fine for the speedo output if PT4 is working now.

Ok, thanks a lot. I will be testing this configuration.

I have another probably interesting problem. But I think I try to start a new post in the next few days...

When will the next source-code appear? There is one special issue...
