Will a Purge Solenoid be okay off an MS3 or ms3x output directly or do you reckon I should go through a relay?
thanks guys.

Purge Solenoid - too much load?
Want a neat way to Check & Set Ignition timing AND CRANK the motor at the same time BY YOURSELF?

Re: Purge Solenoid - too much load?
It depends on the current draw!!
I found that my NOS branded "sniper" style solenoid drew too much current for the MS3X outputs and they went into current limit mode.

Right. So, the ms3x has safetys build in does it? That sounds handy!
Is there a way I can calculate current draw if I know the resistance of the solenoid?

Any chance you could dumb that down for me?
...Volts = InternalResistance?
