MS3 pro or MS pnp 03 subaru wrx

Hey guys, been a while since my last MS project (turned out great, thanks to you guys) And now im on to the next fun project!

So my little cnc machine shop has been making some performance parts for the subaru market, prototypes really. And I have fallen in love with the little 2l and 2.5l boxer engines, my partner bought a 03 wrx in excellent condition with a hurt motor, we have the motor situation under control now, and I even bought the fancy ecu flash adapter for open source tuning, But not being able to leave well enough alone, I bought a set of MS3 pro ecu's, and after the fact, was told MS actually makes a diy pnp kit, and a pre built PNP ecu, while I have no doubts the pro ecu's will find there way into a future project or 2, I was wondering if anyone here is actually running one of the PNP kits? Id love to get some basic setting info from them!

Hey guys, I'm making progress on one of our cars, and had a question!


Is there a build manual for the DIYPNP subaru wrx ecu kit? I'm having some trouble decoding some of the wire names in the subaru manual, just figured there was documentation available.



current setup in a MS3-pro ecu, wired to a ND122pin break out board, also need to see if the spark and fuel outputs are labeled as the firing order, ie: spark out A goes to cylinder 1, ect.

I have a MSProPNP for my 02 WRX setup (swap car)
The swap car itself was a disaster of issues; mechanical and electrical
Matt from DIY was amazingly helpful as I dragged him down my tales of woe.

All in all, it runs and idles quite well right now. Being in an OBD2 state, I need the PNP aspect of it and by the time I got done building a jumper harness, it was a mess and took up a ton of space.

Once I get done bleeding the air out of the alternate cooling system in the car, I can really put the ECU through its paces.

My jumper harness is ok, not as good as the PNP solution, but not bad.
