Trigger angle 36-2-2-2

Post by tomnie2 »

Hi,

I'm currently working on my swift GTI with an 36-2-2-2 trigger wheel but can't get it working.

the vr sensor is at 6 o'clock and i get a RPM signal but only getting some banging from the engine but it wont start :(

Do I need to change anything in the trigger anlge or is 0 degrees already good for getting the engine to work?

Put a timing light on it and see if your timing is correct.

You can use an inline spark plug test light or an old spark plug wire. That will give you something to put the inductive pickup onto.

Was this a factory installed 36-2-2-2 wheel? Otherwise, don't bother - use a 36-1 or other standard wheel. The "special" wheels are only supported in their OEM factory positioning.

yes i removed the oil pump from an G13bb where it is stock and put it on the GTI engine.

As you can see in the picture i uploaded, you can see that the original oil pump does not have a hole for a vr sensor and the pump from the G13bb does.

I already had the megasquirt running on the g13bb but cant get it working on the g13b and the only difference is the cylinderhead.

I used resistors in series with the injectors for high impedance and toyota corolla cops.

I also have ITB's from a GSXR1000 and custom manifold.

Plz help!
