hi, I just recently purchased the megasquirt ms3 kit with mar daddy 4 upgrade and plan on using it in my 2001 Toyota Tacoma 2.4 2rz 2wd 5speed. the truck is going to be running a 55 trim t3 t4 turbo on 7 psi. what I am here for is any tips from anyone who has done this computer in the truck before or someone that knows what I have to do to get what im looking for.
I have a few questions for those willing to help me out.
1. what do I have to do or how do I have to set the wiring up in order to keep the factory gauges in the truck?
2. using this computer set up will I lose the ability to retrieve DTC codes from the obd2 port on the truck?
3. will my check engine light still work?
4. are there any other resistors, connectors, or components I will need to hook this up to my truck?
