MAT curve vs VE Analyze

Post by ducman82 »

So while still fighting a Hot idle issue, i did notice while going down the highway after playing with with MAT curve that VE-A was working fine (super small if any changes, i have the tune where i want it) except i noticed when i should be at 18.4 while cruising, I'm showing 17.4 and VE-A does not seem to care or make changes. so is it smart enough to know what is "really is" before it gets changed by the MAT curve?

the curve almost wants to dip down then back up....

Yes, post a log showing more of the "cruising" and off-target AFR. There was only about 3 secs. of that last one when the engine wasn't idling, maybe not even enough time for the mixture/combustion to stabilize and let VEAL have a decent chance.

Those sort of numbers are way too lean. There are settings in the EGO settings to ignore the wide band as it must be a bad answer. If you try aiming for 14.5. Or so below about 70 KPA, lots of your issues will so away. The motor will never run smooth at 18. I am suppressed itt runs at all there.

I can't imagine that porsche designed those things to run at maxed out egt's for extended periods.
