Split my Vss signal now speedo issues

Post by ffr3247r »

I'm using this Vss on my trans and split the Vss signal that feeds Speedhut speedo and went to the JS10 to provide my MS3x with a speed signal. My speedo is now @20 mph off even after a recal. What is wrong?

Because you can't simply split a signal like that most of the time.

You need to use a buffer to to be able to split the signal.

Typically people use DRACs/VSSBs from GM vehicles of the early '90's, or the Dakota Digital SGI-5, which serves a very similar function.

VSS can probably only drive inputs with very high impedance. Did you use the input circuit with 1K resistor and diodes? Maybe try with 10K to raise the input impedance.
