Cylinder Trim problem ....... solved.....

Post by quark2501 »

Hi Guys

Ms3x full Seq. timing and fuel, 4 cylinder engine. 36-2 crank 1 hal sensor at cam.

Ran into a problem, activated cylindertrim and pull 2 degress from cylinder 2 and 3 and added som fuel also, after that, the car stop running like it was suppose to. Log attached.. It also cut at 7000rpm and not 7500 like it was suppose to, RPM falling doing pulling also. NO SYNC Errors. Removed the 2 degress and everything was fine. It seems like the problem was worse at cold engine, but still there at hot engine.

The "2017-03-01_15_modified" log only shows it being revved to 3000 RPM - is that related to the issue?

It might be a good idea to try these two changes:

1. Leave the cylinder trim on, but zeroed out. Does the revving problem still occur?

2. Make a data log on the tune that revved cleanly to 7500 RPM. You can overlay that with the log of it not revving out cleanly and see what readings have changed.

Just change the subject to "SOLVED". It may help others who run into similar issues.
