Hallo,
i've read that the internal knock module uses the LED and JS11. So far so clear.
But i just want to confirm if it is necessary to remove the LED driver components if they are installed on the main board?
If the driver components effect the knock module it should be sufficiant to remove the 1k resistors R26, R27 and R29) and let the transistors and LEDs installed - correct?
Best regards

No mention of this has ever been made, in the manual or in discussions.
Temporarily shut down - back soon!

And it does not do any harm to leave them in place.dontz125 wrote:No mention of this has ever been made, in the manual or in discussions.

Re: Internal Knock Module and LEDs - component removal?
Hello all,
Same as above I have internal knock module installed with MS3X, however I had already installed all standard LED drivers as instructed in the MS3 build manual
Now when I enable "internal" knock setting in TS, LED's 14 and 16 are on permanently when power is supplied to the MS.
Is this normal? I know it was mentioned above that the LED hardware does not have to be removed, but I want to check that it's normal for the LED's to be constantly on, and double confirm that this in no way affects the function of the Knock module.
Is it advisable to open up the case and snip the legs off of the LED's?
Thanks
Dan

Re: Internal Knock Module and LEDs - component removal?
It shouldn't have any adverse impact. If you want to remove anything, it is the base resistors to the drive transistors that would need removing i.e. R26, R27, R29.

Ok I'll see how accessible they are when I have the case off.
Thanks
