Honda b18 vtec and distributor wiring

Post by 3tc power »

Hi everyone i recently built an ms3x for a b18 crx and i was wondering if anyone done this as of yet. I am pretty much looking for what output you use to control the vtec and did you have any issues wiring the distributor 24-1 triggers. Also did you have to use a relay for the vtec?

Any information you have is better than nothing so yhank uou in advance guys.

The distributor works much like the standard Nippondenso CAS; you just ignore the 4 tooth wheel.

You will need a high side driver or relay for the VTEC solenoid.

So i can use the VVT output and set it standard on/off for this particular setup?
And as far as the relay for the vtec, can i use a simple 20/30amp relay or solid state type?
