SD logging test on jimstim

Post by hulk8950 »

I am doing some testing on my ms3x with the Stims. I set up SD logging to be initiated with a push button, with the stimx i start the log with the "DL" dip switch, and switch it on then off as if it was a button. "Sampling" set to timed and "Log File Max Duration" set for a minimum of 1min. About a few minutes of watching and waiting for the SD Log light to turn off in TS, i noticed it would flash off then back on a couple times. I would have to physically power the Stims off to stop logging. When i withdraw the logs from the card i notice multiple 1 minute logs. Is there a way to actually stop logging thru the timing process without having to power down the Stims or vehicle once i get the squirt installed in the car? Any help would be appreciated, thanks chris

"Press the button" to stop it.
This is covered in the manual in section 3.8.4 of the Megasquirt-3 Setting Up Manual.

James, i attempted switching the dip switch on and off several times trying to end logging, all this did was restart other Logs. Apparently it doesn't work properly with the Dip switches on the Stims and i just need to try it out in the car with an actual button.
Thanks chris
