disclaimer: I'm a complete noob, and really have no clue what I'm doing here.
I recently did some bad things to my ms3pro whilst hooking up a VSS sensor, and I blew the internal fuse for the 5v vref. Now that I have that all working, the engine won't start (it did before, w/o any issues). I'm now getting a cam fault.
This is a VW 1.8t (code AUG, from a 2001 passat). From what I understand it's a 4 window cam sensor.
If I put the spark into waste COP mode, the engine starts up (w/ the cam fault light on).
Are hall effect sensors sensitive? Is it possible that I blew it up (or anything else for that matter) when I blew the 5v vref fuse?
I've attached a composite log of cranking (no fuel or injectors). Cam fault clears when I start cranking; shows up after about 4 seconds. Like I said, I'm a noob; ff I should upload anything else, let me know.
