Verifying tooth number #1 angle

Post by nathaninwa »

I'm fuel injecting the BBC in my tow rig. Looks like by Friday or Saturday I'll be able to fire it back up. I've read the MS3pro manual and just want to verify my initial timing setup

To ready myself for this swap I did a bunch of prefab work. What I've done is combined a gm dizzy shaft with a 7mgte CAS. It's the nipendenso 24/1 setup. So 24 crank teeth with 1 cam tooth No missing teeth on the crank

So I've rolled my motor backwards from tdc to 60*, or 60*btdc. I'm able to land the CAS with the cam tooth aligned and move it ahead till it reads the crank tooth

My question, since this is cam driven, will my tooth angle be 60* or 30* If it's 30* should I roll the engine back to 120*btdc and then use the 60* value?

MS only works in crank degrees. 0 to 720.
Find the Manuals up top under Quick links: Manuals. :RTFM:

Thanks. I'll set it to 60* and crank it up
