Here is the scenario:
LSX 454 Engine (crate). Can with OEM ECU with custom flash, with DBW TB.
Transmission 4L80E with MSD Atomic Transmission Controller (PN 2760).
Goint into 4x4 truck.
Need to choose a SEM. My experience is with LS2 engines,MSPRO and TH400 trans (no electronics ).
I want to use MSPRO EVO with the Harness from Diyautotune.
Now, I know I have to switch to a cable TPS.
For the MSD to work it needs: +5V/ground from the TSP, RPM signal and VSS.
For the RPM signal: "Connect to tach output on MSD Ignition or coil (-) on inductive ignition.
Note: Will accept 5V(+) used to trigger GM LS coil packs"
Can I use MSPRO Tachout (Pin24/Diyauto) to provide RPM signal to MSD?
Since I have to switch to a cable TB I can just wire the MSD to the TB and not use it for the MSPRO.
And use speed density as control algorithm. Can MSPRO operate solely on MAP without a TPS signal?
For VSS, the MSD control box is expecting a "GM VSS signal" which I think is a VR sensor (40 pulses/tooth ring).
Can I use the same VR sensor and piggyback the signal for both the MSPRO and the MSD box?

The Tach signal should work fine. You can probably share the TPS and VSS between the two boxes.

If you don't want to share the TPS, you should be able to set up a Generic PWM output of the MS3PRO, to follow and mimic the TPS.
There should be a similar way to have a speed output as well.
