Bosch EV1 - Pin removal - How to ?

Post by DonMaximo »

I started to mess around with removing a pin from a Bosch EV1 connector

https://www.diyautotune.com/product/fue ... bosch-ev1/

I don't want to damage the 2 wires or connector where I need to switch wires between 2 connectors.

I've tried bobby-pins and small precision screw drivers.

If you've done this before or understand the best method, I would appreciate the assist.

EV1 connectors are pull-to-seat. You need to cut and re-crimp new units on there.

I've figured out a way to push them forward and clip off old pin. Fortunately, I saved the extra pin that is provided in each pack and that will get me through the correction without waiting on new parts.

Thanks for weighing in as it confirmed what I encountered. I watched the videos and none of them helped me. I posted the video in the event it helps someone else.

Thanks again
