Flex fuel leaning out ve table

Post by dark star »

Ok so recently did a bunch of rewiring on the car, got it running again and went to check my flex fuel sensor to see ethanol % and it wasnt working. I said oh well dont have time to fix it as it was time for a race that I needed to make. Tuned the car with the e gauge reading 0% and baseline ethanol at 0%, both fuel multipliers at 100%.

Found I had lost power to the sensor, fixed that and now the E gauge is reading 78%. Started the engine and it is running really lean. Whats the simplest way to fix this without messing with VE tables?

Im assuming since the sensor wasnt working correctly it was multiplying the fueling 1.67?

Increase the scale of fuel in the flex settings

example- E0= 100% of fuel, E100=175% or 180%, ect.

Unplug the sensor and worry about it later.

You were on the right track but the scale for ethanol mix cant be set above 100. I set the fuel multiplier to 163 and it fixed the tune issue. Thanks for the help
