ms3 pro install

Post by fxbdydriver »

I have upgraded from my microsquirt to a ms3 pro. Car starts and idles fine, however, When I power off controller my fan control wire is grounding. I am using the pwm1 idle out wire. Even when I turn fan control completely off the pwm1 wire is still grounding when controller is powering off.

What would cause this problem?

Some devices inside MS may well go to conducting when not powered. Hence the recommendation that power to anything controlled by MS is also powered from the main MS relay (or its own relay controlled by that)

If you wish the fan to run after the engine has been switched off (say from a rad thermostat), add a relay (etc) which isolates the MS control signal when it's not powered.
