MS3 Misfire Low Revs

Post by sweetlikealemon »

Hi all

I have managed to get my 93 BMW 318is (M42 engine) turbo running on my MS3 kit. Works OK at high revs, but at low revs and pick up it is misfiring, spluttering etc. It eventually settles but when you go back to idle it does it again. Max boost is 7psi via external wastegate. I have auto tune software, which has adjusted the fuel table significantly...but I still get misfires. I also see a high sync loss, which I am not sure how to solve.

I have attached msq and composite log(cut down for size)...so any help you can offer would be great.

Thanks
Ed

What type of cam trigger? I see a cam signal for each crank revolution, sometimes two.

Try reversing the Ignition Input Capture setting. The spacing close to the missing tooth is a bit suspect.
