ORFC not returning fuel at right RPM?

Post by elaw »

Running the 1.5.1 firmware, I've been fooling around a little lately with overrun fuel cut settings. It seems like the RPM when fuel is returned (based on PW or duty cycle in the log) is too high.

As you can see in my msq, when RPMdot is below 250, fuel should be turned back on at 1250 RPM.

But if you look at the attached log, when fuel is returned based on RPM threshold (and not when the throttle is opened), it always returns at an RPM above 1250, even when RPMdot is very low. For example at 114.138 seconds, fuel returns when RPM is 1694 even though RPMdot is -70 (and the lowest nearby reading is -90). Likewise, at 630.894 seconds, fuel returns at 1434 RPM but RPMdot is only -120.

I know RPMdot can be noisy and there may be unseen values somewhat different from those captured in the log, but -70 to -250 is a heck of a difference!
