What am I doing wrong? LS2 58x crank 1x cam

Post by Huey »

I'm having trouble getting a GM LS2 running. It turns over as if it is too high in time. I have attached the MSQ, a composite tooth log, and a Data log file. These files where created with the fuel pump relay disconnected to keep from damaging the engine. I also tested each coil and injector to make sure it was on the correct cylinder. What am I doing wrong ? It looks good to me.

Thanks, Huey

Have you set your initial Base timing, and checked all your injectors and plugs are firing in the correct order using the test menu in tunerstudio.

Yes, I did. The only thing that I can think of is the cam and crank polarity. Rising vs falling. Does it look correct on the composite tooth logger picture ? I'm also not running the latest MSextra code. However, I don't think that's the problem.

Why not try running wasted spark first of all to eliminate the cam sensor. Once you get it to fire up then you can sort out the cam sensor.

That's a great idea. I will have to upgrade the firmware and give that a try.

I can't believe no one noticed my mistake in the picture above. The coils and injectors are wired wrong.
