Traction Control Reaction Not Doing What I Think It Would

Post by goodysgotacuda »

I am getting into setting up my traction control and I can't quite get a handle on the reactions. MS3 Gold Box

As you can see my (Slip x Time) pegs out at 110, my Spark: Traction Retard pegs at 13.0°

Where I am misaligned is how the (Slip x Time) is correlating to my reaction plot. As you can see, 13.0° of retard would be about 12-13 (Slip x Time) according to my plot.

Where is it getting the 13.0° of retard from at 100 (Slip x Time)? I would expect it to react "off the charts" and respond at 25° of retard....what am I missing?

Anyone with TC reaction experience? Could this be a software glitch?? :RTFM:

It look like a bug.

All your settings seems fine and your log show a TC slip * time of over 100.

I dont get why it wont go over 13 of spark traction retard...

I have not found a resolution. For the time being, I've given up on messing with the traction control.

It is a display issue (numbers scaled wrong in error.) The feature works and there are videos of "Street Outlaws" cars using it successfully.

Hello,

i have the same issue... but i find the solution...
In my opinion there is somewhere a wrong calculation.

I have setup my TC like this:
Bildschirmfoto 2018-05-26 um 15.03.15.png
Bildschirmfoto 2018-05-26 um 15.03.15.png (61.52 KiB) Viewed 498 times
But if i look to my log i see Slip x time values divided by 10 be the correct Ignition retard values.
I see SPK:Traction retard from about 16.4° by 888 TC Slip*time... i have setup it as about 90...
Bildschirmfoto 2018-05-26 um 15.03.05.png
Bildschirmfoto 2018-05-26 um 15.03.05.png (137.19 KiB) Viewed 498 times
So i change my "slip x time" values divided by 10 and see if this work for my.
You can test it too... or look at the code :-)

Hello,

it is like i say... the values in the MSQ Setup must by devided by 10.
This is my new setup
Bildschirmfoto 2018-05-27 um 14.25.40.png
Bildschirmfoto 2018-05-27 um 14.25.40.png (69.06 KiB) Viewed 483 times
And this is how the log looks like
Bildschirmfoto 2018-05-27 um 14.25.33.png
Bildschirmfoto 2018-05-27 um 14.25.33.png (121.22 KiB) Viewed 483 times
As you can see i have setup 20 degree at 10 slip x time... but in the log it is 20 degree at 100 slip x time.
