Connecting MS3 controller to MAC Computer

Trying to get the MAC computer to see the MS3 controller.

Mac mini 10.6.8 operating system using Windows parallels opening Windows based TunerStudio.

TunerStudio Software opens fine in computer.

12V Power on to ignition and MS3 controller.

Connected RS232 port from controller to USB on computer. I keep getting an error message in TunerStudio that the ports can't be seen. So no connection between TunerStudio and Controller.

Can't find any info in the manual on this issue. Is there something I am missing?

Can't send datalog because I can't get a handshake between controller and computer.
