vss output with ms3pro

Post by Regul8s »

Hello,
I am currently in the build process. I plan to run both front and rear speed sensor, and utilize the trac control function. I also plan on putting both a tach and speedo gauges in the car. I have read that people use the tach output to run a speedo, but i am wanting to have both gauges. What do you suggest that I use for the vss output? I was under the impression that the tach output was the only 12v output wire, and the all the drop down options under the vss output are ground activated. I was planning on using the electric autometer speedo.

Thanks for the help

You can use any unused PWM or high current output with a 12 volt pull up.

Thank you for the quick response. Would I use the same pull up resistor as I used in the speed sensors? What size of pull up would work best to achieve the 12 volt out to the speedometer, and how would I go about wiring it in? Do i need to add a 12 volt wire to 1 side of the resistor?

Do i put the pull up resistor between the the 12 v supply wire to the gauge and the signal wire from the ms3pro? Which pull up resistor would work the best for the application?

2k resistor is what I used for 12v pull up. Yes you put the resistor between the signal input and a 12v supply.
