MS3Pro Intermittent Shutdown
MS3Pro on Miata 1.8 VVT engine. The ECU appears to periodically shuts down, often after going into boost, but has also stopped after idling. There is no indication in the logs of a sensor or configuration problem. However, a recent log showed an offline/online/reset event.
EDIT: Now learned this is a MegaLog Viewer display option. We've verified good grounds, and replaced battery just to rule things out. Any advice on further troubleshooting would be greatly appreciated. The ecu worked fine for months, by the way.- Attachments

Re: MS3Pro Intermittent Shutdown
If this is an MS3Pro PNP, EVO, or Ultimate, check if the power lights are still on when it shuts down.
If it's a Gen 1 MS3Pro, you'll need to check for voltage on VREF instead.
This will give more clues about what's gone wrong.

Re: MS3Pro Intermittent Shutdown
Hi was this ever resolved? I'm having a similar issue with an MS3Pro Evo. I assume the resolution will be the same between ours.
**EDIT in our instance the issue was low resistance spark plugs. This lead to severe interference to the ECU. RPM spikes, dropouts and ECU resets were resolved as a result of changing spark plugs.
