Working on idle... now the questions

Post by Targa44 »

Just got the car back on the road and starting some rudimentary tuning. I've done two sessions with the cold idle autotune and it has tweaked the default curve slightly and still has some 'minor' hunting...not a big deal right now. However, when starting a warm engine, it's quite different. Moderate hunting and mostly smoothes out after maybe 5 minutes. The final part is the idle speed. After cold start, idles around 1100rpm. After some driving, it ends up at around 1300+ rpm. My idle s/b around 950ish.

I just don't know all that influences idle with the myriad tables and enrichments available. So, my request is to take a look at my latest msq to see if anything obvious pops out that I can adjust from the keyboard.

For one, I think I'll need to adjust something on the throttle body to change the range the idle is in. I'm MAP only without TPS and I have the original (CIS) throttle body and cold start (AAR) valve.

Attached is the msq from today's session.

thanks,

kj
