Manual updates

Post by Yves »

On the manual page it still says :
Note: 17 Jan 2017 – these manuals are in the process of being updated for 1.5.x firmware. Check back soon for updates.

Is this still the case ?

Non-matching date-coding on/in the manuals is something I noticed too a while ago.

For instance here:
http://www.msextra.com/doc/pdf/html/MS3 ... e-1.4.html

The titlepage of the manual says: Dated: 2016-11-13
but on that same page, in the footer it still says: (c) 2014-6 James Murray
and on the next page footer:

Code: Select all

(c) 2014-6 James Murray 2016-11-13 Page 2/240

I fully understand writing manuals is tedious work, especially if it's a one-man job.
But as the MegaSquirt-"world" is already littered with an overload of possible ECU-variations, firmware-options and other variations, and even outdated information everywhere, I think this is an area where some (more) care and attention could be given to ensure clarity for users and 'protect' the product from misinformation.
