1JZ MS3X popping noise at idle

as title says my 1jz is popping at idle, and afr and rpms swings around at same time as the popping. but it revs fine and runs fine. MS3X running on a 2jz base map (not tune yet), 1jz with a single turbo 6262 T3, 800cc injectors, GM LS2 Coils, Quantum 340lhp fuel pump, Spec Stage 3 clutch 6 pucks, R154 gearbox, 14point7 Spartan O2 sensor, im using the MAP sensor from the squirt. the popping occurred also with the stock ecu. any help will be appreciated.

If it occurred with the stock ecu I am inclined to suspect a mechanical issue.

Valve clearance too tight is one that comes to mind........... Can you tell exactly where is the 'popping' is coming from? (ie. intake, exhaust......)

Popping usually mean misfires, check those plugs, maybe too short gaps, AFR, etc

This is likely plug gap. What are yours gapped to? Also, too MUCH timing can cause this as well.
