VVT new firmware problem

Post by PUMPISH »

Hi

I use VVT on/off function to control my camshaft.

Today I updated the firmware and updated tuner studio and now the VVT table on tuner studio VVT setting is gone and I have VVT curve instead. My settings does not even match now.

How can I get back VVT table?

I reinstalled to previous firmware and then it works again, vvt table is back. But why it does not work with a new firmware, are you going to fix it with a next firmware?

Because it has been changed to a curve as you are aware.

Are you going to change this function in manual?
4.19.1 On/off mode setup
For on/off mode, no feedback of cam position is used and most settings on the VVT settings screen are
unused and grayed out. The output value, frequency and injector timing adjustment are set through the main
settings screen.
In place of the angle target table, an on/off table is used. In this table, set 100 for cells where VVT should be
active and 0 for cell where it should be inactive. Do not use other values

Personally, I think it's better to have a table, especially when you control vvt by map.
Is there any special reason why you switched to a curve?

I have always used generic pwm for this on ms3 when I don’t need angle feedback. Is that an option for you?
