Where do I go from here?

Matt Cramer (DIYAutotune) suggested the following set-up for my first Megasquirt project.

MS330-K Megasquirt III kit with V3.0 PCB
MS3Xpander MS3X expansion card
JimStim-K JimStim Stimulator kit

I've assembled the JimStim and the Megasquirt III. Installed TunerStudio MS Lite v1.0004 on my computer. Downloaded MS3 release 1.0.2 into the Megasquirt-III.
The TunerStudio gages respond properly to JimStim pots MAT, CLT, TPS and O2. Engine Speed does not respond to the RPM pot. I've turned on switch 3 and jumpered Primary tach to the center post on the JimStim.
The question now is "where do I go from here".
I've waded through some of the documentation on the msextra.com site but I haven't seen anything that points me in the direction to continue testing using the JimStim.

Be sure the Jimstim and the ignition input settings in the MS3 are set up to match each other. How do you have both set right now?

I haven't purchased the MS3Xpander card yet. Is there a default set-up for TunerStudio that allows me to test the hardware that I've built?

Okay, Current jumper Configuration:
VRIN and TACHSELECT along with 1K pullup to 5V. Is the Pullup necessary?
TSEL to VROUT
XG1 and XG2
Installed D1 & D2
JS6 and SPR1 CAN-H
JS8 and SPR2 CAN-L
JS9 and S12C
JS0 and IAC1A
JS1 and IAC1B
JS2 and IAC2A
JS3 and IAC@B

TunerStudio now reacts to RPM properly, THANKS!

Is there further JimStim testing I can do without the MS3X?
