U3 6pin chip orientation

Hi I need a bit of help with the orienation of U3, theres no notch on the chip to correspond with the notch on the board,
MS2
V3.0PCB

any body got any advice?

Is there a dot? That indicates pin 1.
Also if you look at the chip with the writing the correct way up, pin 1 should be bottom left.

ok so the dot goes the same end as the notch or the dot goes the opposite end?

got another major issue....
let me sort U3 out first though!!!

thankyou James, ive found clarification on the pcb layout http://www.msextra.com/doc/ms2extra/MS2 ... htm#layout

onto other issues... ive gone and soldered U4 where U7 should go :oops: :| :| :|

taking it real slow steady with the heat trying to use the solder sucker on it

Another good reason to install sockets, IMHO.
