Jean will need to confirm. But we didn't have data on the exact LS1 pattern until after 2.0.3 if I remember correctly.

I will buy the USB cable you recommend in this article http://jbperf.com/JimStim/JimStim_v2_0_ ... el_upgrade made by FTDI and flash it. Can someone supply me with the firmware with the correct wheel pattern once you get confirmation from JEan.?

Yes, I can confirm that the LS1 pattern in 2.0.3 is the old inexact pattern.

Is there a firmware available that is newer with the updated wheel pattern? I saw on your site I can download the current wheel pattern file but under LS1 it says "crude version". Does that mean it will work and all I have to do is buy the USB cable and upload the new wheel pattern file?

The current pattern file is exactly the same as what you get with the CPU having the 2.0.3 firmware. You would need a new pattern file to get the corrected pattern.

I have updated the wheel file in another thread but I still get no rpm in tuner studio. Unfortunately I do not have a scope with me right now so I can not view the signal coming from the jimstim. I have viewed it in tunerstudio and the resolution is not quite good enough for me to see a difference.

Any ideas anyone?

Can you save the TunerStudio log (composite log in the diagnostics tab) and post it? We might be able to see if there is something. In any case, I'd like to see it for myself.

Here is the log of the composite logger. Can someone review my .msq file that I posted on page 1 (Does not have post #s) to make sure I am not missing something obviously stupid.

Thank you,

Shane

That's not an LS1 pattern. (Looks like 60-2?) Did you set the mode select DIP switches to match the pattern you loaded?

However, start a new topic about the JimStim queries - it is unrelated to this topic title.

You are correct. i had the wrong jumper up...I was testing both the LS1 and the LS2/60-2 patterns but it still does not work... Like you suggested I will create a new post that is geared to this particular issue.
Thanks for all the help so far!
