MS 1 V3 Location of Map Sensor

Post by Michael »

I'm doing some research before commencing assembly of my MS1 V3. I'm thinking of mounting the MS under the driver seat and don't see a problem with regard to wiring, noise etc. However, it might be a long way to run the tube for the MAP sensor owing to friction in the tube. Would I be better mounting the MAP sensor closer to the plenum and then wiring back to the MS unit?

Many Thanks - Michael.

Leave the MAP sensor on the board, it should work fine.

Do not run rubber hose for the connection. Use plastic tubing 1/16th or 1/8 inch.
Rubber hose can collapse or get pinched. OEM use plastic tubing.

Thanks Ollie8974,

I have some industrial plastic (prob nylon) airline in different sizes (3mm, 5mm) I intend to use some of that. - Michael
