Converted to Extra, now it doesn't work

Hello everyone.
MSII V3.0 msextra 3.3.2
383 LT1 SBC with small cap HEI 8pin module. Nothin fancy, just a SBC.

I originally built this with the MS code and I had 2.90500 on it. IT HAS NOT RUN ON A CAR. The simulator always seemed to work fine and I tinkered with it occasionally. Now that I'm ready to install the MS I decided to "upgrade" to the latest extra code, which I did. I also changed the associated wiring and components.

I think it is basically working but I noticed something smelled hot. My burnt finger told me it was Q6. D16 comes on dim but doesn't do anything else. D14 and D15 don't light at all. I have done some tests to see if there is a short via the suggestions on the forum and it all checks out. Do you have any suggestions for me? Just for the record, I have an "old" stimulator. Pre 2008 for sure.
D1 and D2 are not installed
Q16, R43 and D8 are installed, don't know if I need them.
Cut the jumper from S12C to JS9?
I followed the instructions from the HEI section to the best of my ability.

Is it set up for HEI using the MS2/Extra manual or the B&G directions?

Can it get RPM on a Stim?

Yes, I can get RPM while using the Stim. I wasn't able to at first, but after changing some setting in the ignition set up it seems to be working, I just don't know why the transistor is getting so hot.

What exactly do you have wired to the D14 circuit? It sounds like you're running too much current through Q6 - wrong pull up resistor value, perhaps?

R24=330 Ohm
R26=1k
Vcc through a 1K ohm then to pin 3 (Collector) of Q6
Collector of Q6 is also wired to IGN (I don't know where that goes) UPDATE. IGN goes to pin 36. Pin 36 on my Stim is +12VDC by way of a wire jumper
Once again Stim is older than Extra. Does that matter? It worked perfect on the MS code and wiring.

Maybe I need a Stim schematic!!!! Found it here: http://www.megamanual.com/v22manual/v1stim.htm Pin 36 is not shown on the schematic and it doesn't make sense for it to be wired to +12VDC. I was given this Stim a long time ago, didn't have a problem before coz I wasn't tying IGN to Q6 until the Extra update.

I cut the jumper and it solved the heating transistor. Now that I understand the circuit it makes sense.

Next on the list is: JS9 to S12C. I cut it coz I wasn't finding any info on it. I keep reading and reading and reading, a I find a section called the conversion manual. Bad part is that I saw the link to it in the Tuning Manual page. Why would I look ahead to tuning if I can't even get my MS to work? I believe that JS9 to S12C is power for the IAC. I'm not sure because I've not seen a schematic for the MS board and the information seems to be very scattered. I really appreciate the amount of effort that most go into something like this, but I can also say that the "EXTRA" stuff is confusing to say the least. When I originally built my MSII it seemed very straight forward. Just follow the manual and it worked. Now I'm just struggling and wish I would have stayed with MS code.

The S12C-JS9 jumper should normally be installed with MS2 yes.
