U5 Does Not Look the Same as Pictures
I'm at the point of installing the MS3 daughter card onto the MS3 main board. The standoffs don't fit on U5 because the part is not the same as in all the pictures. I want to make sure the part is correct before I move on. All the voltages at the pin header checked out fine with instruction line 24 and instruction line 30. Just wanted to make sure this is ok before I move on.
U5
Line 1 = 05CC0
Line 2 = 410 H23
The bag it came in is labeled [Regulator LDO TO-220 LM2937ET-5.0]

Electronic components will often vary slightly from what is pictured, that is inevitable with generic parts sourced form different manufacturers. I, too, had to customize the standoffs to get the MS3 board to plug in fully and evenly.

Thanks for the help and that's what I had expected. I'll dremel some material off the standoff to get them the correct height.billr wrote:Electronic components will often vary slightly from what is pictured, that is inevitable with generic parts sourced form different manufacturers. I am talking about the three F-F hex ones, about 3/4" long, that the MS3 daughter card attaches to (in between the mainboard and MS3).

Re: U5 Does Not Look the Same as Pictures
I took a closer look and the standoffs weren't the same size. They provided a shorter one to make up for the difference in height of the new voltage regulator.
