COP bench test

Post by luke2152 »

What sort of power supply will I need to bench test my COP's?
Would a 1A 12v transformer be enough.
Alternatively will my 18v drill battey fry the coil?

Use a FUSED car (or bike) 12V battery. The coils are going to need 6-7A peak.

And use a 1-3A fuse to power the MS and a separate fuse(s) for the coils.
