Map sensor stuck at 100kpa
i have an ms1 v2.2 board modified for EDIS, and i have noticed the map sensor is stagnant at 100kpa, even when on the stim, and vac/pressure is supplied to the on board MAP does this issue exist.
What are some checks i can do to determine where the failure is, (weather its the map sensor, or board)

Check the voltage at pin 1 of the MAP sensor - it should fall when vacuum is applied and rise under pressure.

Re: Map sensor stuck at 100kpa
Thanks, just checked voltage between pin 1, and pin 2 of the map sensor, and it is reflecting changes in pressure when applied to the map sensor.
any common next steps/ checks i can do to rule out other possibilities?
here are some other checks i have done
i am not getting 5v output on the Vref pin (db37 pin 26)
-resistor R2 test to .998k ohms.

Check for continuity from pin 1 to the processor.

Re: Map sensor stuck at 100kpa
100kpa seems to be a strange number to be stuck on being its a 2.5bar sensor.
are you sure you're not looking at baro?
i would also check calibration

Re: Map sensor stuck at 100kpa
Does the MS1 code update MAP if the engine is not running?

Re: Map sensor stuck at 100kpa
i think so? i would assume all sensors are active without the motor on, If not how would it ever get started
also, i should mention that the throttle position sensor is working correctly, would this imply that the Vref signal is in the right spot? i am starting to doubt both my stim, and car wireing, and would be interested in any checks i can do to those as well

Re: Map sensor stuck at 100kpa
The fuel pump is off if there is no RPM reading. The same could happen with the reading of the MAP value. It was this way for some MS2 versions. The engine will start because the value will be updated as soon as there is an RPM reading (and the fuel pump will be turned on also).
If you have a stim and you have an RPM reading, you can ignore my comment. If you don't have an RPM reading, fix that before worrying about the MAP value.

Re: Map sensor stuck at 100kpa
It does update MAP whether the engine is running or not. However, if the processor sees zero volts from the sensor, it will default to 100 kPa.

Good. Just wanted to bring that up in case that was similar to what others had problems with in older MS2 versions.

Re: Map sensor stuck at 100kpa
i got it solved!! it ended up being a faulty D11 diode, New diode is installed and it works as it should!
thanks for the help everybody!
