Megasquirt V3 Jumpers

Post by cgross220 »

Hey eveyrone, im new to all this wiring/electronics and am trying to learn as i go. Im building a custom Yamaha XS1100 motorcycle and going from carbureted to EFI. I purchased the megasquirt V3 assembly kit to go with a GSXR throttle body. Assembly was going fine until i got to the first mention of jumpers for the stepper IAC. From what i read online the IAC for the GSXR is. a stepper so i assume i do need the jumper from S12C to JS9 (+12C)? And if that is true, it means I also have to connect JS0-JS3 to IAC1A, B and 2A, B right? Finally, how can i confirm the IAC on the GSXR throttle bodies is in fact a stepper?

Sorry for the newbie questions and thanks in advance for the responses.

I saw them in the manual, was basically just making sure all 5 jumpers are installed for the stepper IAC and wondering how you can check to make sure the IAC is a stepper.

A stepper will have a 4 or 6 wire connection.
