When I open up the firmware for, say, adding table switching and bring up the input pin drop down menu I see it as....... datalog in. Is that what you mean or are you referring to something else?

Perhaps you mean the raw pin name/bit. See the Datalog fields section of the TunerStudio reference manual.

Well, I've tried setting up a gauge with PTT6 input and a maf frequency on the datalog wire, but it doesn't seem to yield any results. Back to square 1.

As I said before, if you want dual frequency MAF support you'll need to write custom firmware to support it and that's not an easy task.

Do you mean that's necessary just to see it's frequency output as well ?

Using an on/off indicator is absolutely not going to work. Did you try my suggestion of configuring a speed sensor input?

Yes, but it didn't work either.

Did you get any reading at all from the speed sensor? You would need to tweak the different input values or do some ini computations but you should be able to get a reading. If not then you have a connection issue.

The speed sensor gave a reading in the 250 Hz range but didn't move much from there while the engine was running.

I think that 250Hz is about the maximum on an unmodified "Datalog in" input.
