Spark A, no Spark B

Post by garageheart »

I've just wired up everything with my MS2 3.57 for 5v logic output running LS2 coils. I've set it up for spark A jumpering from Pad 1 to the middle of Q16 and Spark B Pad 3 to Spr 2. I'm hoping that in my newbness I've missed something simple. So at the moment I've got a solid spark coming from spark A , and no spark from B.

Does D16 blink when you test the spark output B?

Negative, just tested the i/o for spark a, b, and now their leds are not kicking on or pulsing; C however is. Ls coils are now getting hot. Spark A shows a constant 5 volts, and spark B shows 12.... Perhaps I fried something?

12 volts? Does that change if you unplug the external coils?

Also, spark output should be set to going low so the outputs have 0 volts with the key on and engine off.
