Injection & Ignition wiring, need help

Post by niaugi »

hello everyone ;)

trying to assemble MS2 v3.0 board.
using this tutorial:
http://www.megamanual.com/ms2/V3assemble.htm
but i am overwhelmed by the terminology and how to follow steps exactly.

will use oem sensors (+ wideband lambda)

please take a look at my car's ECU diagram (attached below).
it is full sequental injection / wasted spark distribution (semiconductors/no distributor) / crank + cam sensors

so:
no easy way for full injection with MS2? try semi sequental?
if semi seq, so i do not need S52 Cam angle (HALL) sensor/circuit?

---what steps should i follow and are must for me?:---
#50. Next you need to make a decision. There are two input circuits for the tach signal:
a. Hall/optical...
b. for triggering off the Coil - terminals
#51. VR circuit
i have to make only step #51? :)

and if i want to use VR & Hall sensors, how can i use them both, if i have to make a selection with jumper between them?
Do NOT install both sets of jumpers, chose one set or the other!
how the hell both signals get to MS then?
only 2&24 pins are for it, must i connect them (duplicate) on the same wire/pin and TunerStudio will see them?
for example: how can it see Hall if only VR circuit by jumper is selected.. :( totally lost..

IGNINTION:

how will i fire up my double coil if there is only one ignition pin 36 ?
if you look at my original scheme, there are two wires from ECU.

is it direct coil control?
which steps do i have to follow at #65?
* not using IGBT
or
* wish to install the high current ignition driver
?
thanks a lot for reading, hope my problems are not big at all :)

Semi-sequential and full sequential are possible on MS2. See the MS2 hardware manuals in the "Manuals" section linked above.

The Double Fire Coil 2x2 has no integrated transistor and requires an ECU with internal ignition power stages.
Yes, two of them.
