Knock Sensor Adjustment?

Post by imaplt »

I have the DIYPNP on my 99 Miata and I am using the stock sensor. I think I am getting false signals and I am wondering what the best way to adjust this is, anyone have any suggestions? What do people do without knock sensors? Do they just listen or look for indications in the logs?

Thanks in advance!

You can adjust the sensitivity with R26. This adjusts the voltage on U3 pin 10. Higher voltage means less sensitivity.

Thank you Matt. Will do some adjusting. I was hoping for some guidelines as to what to adjust to. Like turn so that it indicates at the same time you hear a knock etc. Maybe it is not that simple. Or if you get a knock indication in the logs. Not sure what a knock looks like in the logs yet either.
