Is there a particularily neat way of building an input for dual hall sensors?
I have a 60-2 hall sensor on the crank and a 50/50 poll wheel hall sensor on the camshaft. All my previous builds have had a VR sensor on the crank and Hall on the cam making the board build neat and simple.
Is it just a matter of building a second circuit with another 4N25 in the prototype area? I was half hoping to find a dual hall add on board..
Martin
Edit: pretty sure I have a JBPerf dual VR board in my stash somewhere...

Re: Dual Hall input?
You can use the VR input with a hall sensor. Indeed, it can be used with pretty well any sensor - unlike the opto.

Yeah I didn't think of the Dual VR board till after I wrote the messageDaveEFI wrote:You can the VR input with a hall sensor. Indeed, it can be used with pretty well any sensor - unlike the opto.
Although I see he now has a much nicer surface mount version
If I use JBPerf boards for those 2 inputs and his 4 channel board for my sequential fuel and spark the V3 board will be pretty bare!

Re: Dual Hall input?
You don't need to use an additional board.
EDIT: the manual covers this! (5.2.14.2)

Re: Dual Hall input?
So, James, you're suggesting using the onboard VR circuit for the crank sensor (60-2 HALL) and the onboard opto circuit for the cam sensor (50/50 poll HALL)?
