Board Testing Adelaide, Australia

Post by matt357 »

I think i blew my megasquirt 2 3.57 processor (or spark outputs) SMD board
i jumpered pins 8 and 9 on the u1, to holes iac 2a and 2b
i had a jumper on igbtin to p7 of the u1
whilst all this was jumpered, i still had the original board jumpers on the
js 2 and 3 to iac2 a and 2b. therefore i had the js 2 and 3 putting 12v
alternating through my p8, and 9 of the u1.

i did attempt to start the car, have not got it started and now only have spark output from p7 from the u1.
running BIP coil drivers for wasted spark setup.
measured only residual voltage on my spark output a (p7) and no voltage from p8 and p9.
Please let me know what other details you need, i have used the spark output testmodes in megasquirt tuner studio.
everything else works on my tunerstudio, no signs of spark.

With the coils disconnected, set spark output to Going Low. You should have 5V at all three processor pins. If you don't, the CPU is damaged.
