Map daddy reads 130kpa witg engine off how do I test

Hay everyone got a problem how do I test my map daddy I have an ms3 with the x card when I turn key on it reads between 124kpa and 130kpa with engine off are there some tests I have done a heap of googleing and can't really get a good answer that show how to test Cheers for the help

Have you got it calibrated for the mpxh6400 in Tuner Studio > Tools.

yep here is my tune its strange because it was running and idling down round 60/70kpa and would rise as i drove now it seams to only stay above 100kpa and wont start

Check the voltage the MAP sensor is putting out on pin 1 of the 6 pin header - what do you measure?

Hi there sorry took so long i get 1.20v at pin 1 of the map sensor is that correct

In the software i made the map signal run through the second map sensor on the mapdaddy connected to js5 for baro correction and it reads 102.5kpa as my map signal. Would this mean that my sensor that gets the map signal normally is buggered.
Would a quick fix for this be to connect the standard map sensor through a different input pin and bypass the mapdaddy map signal completely and just use the mapdaddy for baro signal only

The voltage is correct. Theoretically, you could run pin #1 to some other analog input and use that for MAP signal on MS3. (Note for any MS2 users following this thread: That's available in MS3 only.)

Ok so got an update put a wire on number 1 pin on mapdaddy ran it to js4 on main board it reads 102.3kpa on map sensor but when o blow and suck on the tube it dose not change map kpa but if i take the voltage off pin one it changes as i blow and suck on it so i dont understand. then i tryed the baro sensor and put the hose on the baro sensor same tests the baro sensor would read vacuum but when i blew on it would only go up to 102kpa the voltage also changed like the other sensor.
I should add that i was using a v2.21 sim to supply power and batt guage said 11.90 if that makes any difference
What are peoples thoughts cheers in advance

How does the voltage change when you apply pressure or vacuum to the gauge?

Can you compare the reading with a mechanical gauge?

Baro has min/max limits before it just gives a default reading. If you jumper over to a different ADC did you change the MAP source in tuner studio so MAP as shown on the gauge will be sourced from the new ADC?

yep i changed it in software as well changed map sensor input from mainboard to js4 then did a power cycle. the map read 102kpa instead of 130kpa on mainboard but it stayed at 102kpa on js4 and wouldnt move

I am currently having the same issues. (have not measured voltage. But my map reading will not change. Have you had any luck with diagnosing?

Im having same problem my map is reading 80kpa with engine off and barro is 90kpa jumping to js4 for the map

update got car started today now map works under 100kpa but will not go above 100kpa i think im done with the mapdaddy now might just wire another in and see if it works im really lost here i put a quic datalog in

So i have an update got rid of mapdaddy and changed to a exturnal wired standard map sensor and works mint very happy been driving now going for a few more tuning runs now so i suspect that somthing on the main board was failing cheers for everyones help
