MAP daddy 4 bar not responding

Post by forcedfedmopar »

Ms3x 3.57
map daddy 4 bar with baro

My map daddy 4 bar is not responding to vacuum/pressure changes.

Pin one is at .91v
pin two is at .11v
pin three is at 4.92v
pin 4through six have nothing

Baro out to JS5 per instructions. Setting are per instruction on DIY auto tunes site where I bought the sensor.

pressure vac gauge show 6psig and the fuel load shows 130ish KPA no change of any sort.

Brand new MS3x assembled and brand new map daddy.

Please help.

One of the pins has to be ground, you're seeing voltage on all of them, check and see why. Without a schematic in front of me I can't be sure but it appears pin 3 is the 5v, the middle pin is signal and then pin 1 should be ground.

Looking at the schematic, 1 is signal(0.91v), 2 is GND (0.11v), 3 is power (4.91v), so this is correct. The other three pins are not used, and are not connected to anything.

Have you tried using a straw / hose to suck & blow into the sensor?

So we traced the issue to the main board. A friend had a daughter card we swapped first, same issue. Ran a jumper to JS4 and used that as the input and it reads fine. The circuit through the board is faulty. Will be working with DIY Matt to fix the issue after the up coming race.
